Yvette Smith O'Connell

I was born and raised in Seattle, attending Nathan Hale High School and the University of Washington. I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the UW and then went to work for my family’s business selling antique furniture imported from England and France.  Several years later, I moved with my husband to Sacramento, California, where I attended McGeorge School of Law. We moved back to Seattle during my third year of law school, where I finished my final courses at Seattle University School of Law. I have my law degree from McGeorge School of Law with a concentration in tax, and was admitted to practice law by the Washington State Bar Association in 2002.

Outside of work, I spend time with my husband and two daughters. We enjoy exploring Seattle, discovering new parks, traveling, completing house projects, cooking healthy meals together, and walking our dog. I value my relationships with my family and friends, and enjoy gardening, and keeping fit. Connecting with and meeting new people is one of the many reasons I love working in this area of law. Many people put off having their estate documents drafted for years and then experience a sense of relief when they begin the process; I truly appreciate and enjoy being a part of that!
